I’m Anna! I’m a 26-year-old publicist and photographer from Portland, OR living in Brooklyn, NY with my fiancé and our two cats. I love DIYing my nails, loose clothing, scrapbooking, Beyoncé, Miller High Life (it’s the champagne of beers), sending voice memos, and RHOSLC.

My mom was a hobby photographer when I was growing up, a superwoman, working at a downtown law firm by day and shooting prom photos and dance team action on weekends. She gave me my first camera around 13 and I haven’t put it down since.

I started with a dog portrait service called “Phodography by Anna” (I still own the domain) and in college I became a go-to for 21st birthdays and graduation shoots. This is where @annatakingpics was born, and now I’m emotionally attached to it.

In my 20s, I’ve had the privilege of capturing everything from my nieces’ and nephew’s first moments to engagement parties and fast-paced digital shoots for modeling agencies.

Like my mom, I have a day job: I work in luxury design PR. I get to work with some amazing brands and publications. At the end of the day I like to tell stories, that’s what you can expect from my photography. I capture emotions, moments, and memories.
